One of Karens exhibitions in 2016 was 'The Flower Power Art Challenge' in aid of the Greenfingers Charity. This event brought together the worlds of horticulture and art by encouraging professional and amateur artists alike to get out their easels, paints and pastels and create something related to Flower Power. Artworks were voted for by the public and the ones with the most votes took part in an exhibition of over 70 flower based artworks to be held at the Strand Gallery, 32 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6BP.

The exhibition, was launched at an exclusive preview evening on Thursday May 5th which included a chance to purchase original artworks created for the challenge by famous faces such as Bond girl Naomi Harris, The Pythons, the cast of Eastenders and more. The exhibition remained open until 8th of May 2016.

Karen Hollis’ original oil painting of two lilies, WinterBerry, was selected as a favourite by the public to be part of this exhibition. All artworks were for sale, with 50% of the sale price going to the charity to help them create more of their magical gardens for children’s hospices.
